Multiple Remodels

It’s been an absolute joy working with ACI Contractors and Builders, Inc. over the years. We’ve hired Mike, Amy, and their team to help us design and build out multiple renovation projects in our home—including our dining room, kitchen, master bathroom, and even a deck and patio complete with a built-in gas grill and fire pit. Every project has been done with excellence, care, and a personal touch that makes ACI stand out.

Mike, a third-generation builder now working alongside his sons, brings a depth of experience and craftsmanship that is rare to find. Amy has been invaluable in the design phase, guiding us through drawings, materials, appliances, colors, permitting, inspections, etc. - with such a gifted eye and diligence with deadlines. And throughout the building process, Mike comes onsite with fresh ideas—adding custom features that not only enhance function but also bring beauty to the finished project.

It probably goes without saying, but we deeply respect and admire Mike and Amy—that’s why we keep bringing them back for more projects! Our friends and neighbors have seen and admired the work ACI has done for us, and many of them have also hired (and rehired) the team for their own homes.

Kitchen Remodel

In 2021, I hired ACI to update and upgrade my 1998 builder-grade-everything kitchen. From the very start they were fantastic to work with. Upon contacting them, Amy came to my home, asked all the right questions, designed multiple options for me to consider, revised those options based on my feedback, provided her professional opinion when asked, worked within my budget, and scheduled the work when it was convenient for me. She was happy to help me pick out my updates (cabinets, countertops, backsplash) or let me take the lead (sink, lighting.) The crew, led by her husband Mike, and including two sons Alex and Joe, were courteous, professional, competent, and a joy to work with. They were very conscientious about the fact that they were working in the middle of my home, and not just a random jobsite, for several weeks. Any questions or concerns were addressed and resolved immediately. During the project, we did encounter an issue - a miscommunication with one of the subcontractors - and when I brought it to Amy's attention, she sprung into action and took care of correcting it immediately herself. She handled it beautifully and made sure I was happy with the outcome. Pricing was more than fair and all changes were communicated clearly and timely. The end result was even better than I imagined it would be, and I still receive compliments regularly. ACI is a local small-town, Christian, family-owned contracting business with a lot of experience and talent, and the care they devote to their work and their clients is unparalleled. I had a great experience and will definitely hire them for future projects.

Home Remodel

The exterior of our home was completely transformed by ACI Contractors and Builders, in 2017.

Their concept and design changed it from a dated 2-story colonial into a sharp-looking showpiece home.

It has been 8 years and it still looks great, and we still get compliments, and we still love it.

Their work is excellent and done right. Since we totally trusted the ACI team, we also had them remodel our kitchen and laundry room in 2022. It came out beautifully. They listen to what the client would like but also have wonderful ideas and vision that make a huge difference. We highly recommend ACI to anyone who wants quality workmanship that is done correctly and completely.

Bathroom & Basement Remodel

What started as a primary bathroom renovation, turned into a full basement buildout, and nearly a whole house update. Working with Mike, Alex, and Amy was wonderful. It was easy to have them at my house every day, and they became like family to me. Our styles meshed so the planning process with Amy was a dream. She listened to my thoughts and ideas, then together we created a concept for each part of the house.

ACI’s communication style was straightforward, and we never encountered any issues.

The amount of work was extensive, and the team hit all deadlines we decided on.

A few ‘special’ projects turned into a spectacular record room to display my husband’s album collection. I didn’t need a formal dining room and the plan to convert that into a listening room paid off! It’s a focal point in my house and a gathering area for friends and family to listen to music and talk.

A primary closet update involves having a murphy door shoe closet. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are amazing.

The basement is an entire world of excitement with unique features. I loved the creativity Mike and Alex both have for both large and small obstacles. From simple things like figuring out my bathroom shower drain, to designing a one-of-a-kind area to cover the sump pump, any challenges that the team faced were met with a problem-solving plan.
